Eco-sustainability

We choose sustainable development that meets the needs of the present without compromising those of the future

Green Product Research

At a time when concrete action is needed now more than ever to protect the environment and reduce the impact industries have on the ecosystem, more and more companies are adopting sustainable practices and solutions with a reduced environmental impact.

Sicav stands out from the crowd in the automotive sector by producing components made of green materials. This is a tangible contribution to the new concept of mobility - being more environmentally friendly and responsible.

Sicav's commitment to a greener future

Over the years, Sicav has constantly endeavoured to reduce the environmental impact of its production by also using 'green' materials to manufacture its components. This stems from an awareness of the importance of limiting CO2 emissions and the use of non-renewable resources in the automotive industry.
Since 2021, in collaboration with a partner client and OEM, Sicav Srl has been working to develop eco-sustainable material blends that can result in 100% biodegradable products.

Eco-friendly materials for the automotive sector

Sicav has developed a range of automotive components made from sustainable materials, including biodegradable polymers, natural fibres and recycled material-based compounds. These innovative solutions not only reduce environmental impact, but also ensure high performance and durability.

The benefits of sustainability

Both automotive manufacturers and consumers benefit from the use of “green” material components. In fact, these components reduce the overall weight of the vehicle, thus improving its energy efficiency and reducing fuel consumption. Furthermore, environmentally friendly materials are often less expensive to produce than traditional materials, resulting in significant savings in both financial and environmental terms.

The future of the automotive industry is also green

Sicav is a prime example of how the automotive industry is evolving to adapt to the sustainability needs of an increasingly challenged world. The development and production of components sourced from green materials not only meets the demand for environmentally friendly solutions, but also lays the foundation for a future in which mobility will be cleaner and more efficient.

Optimized supply chain to reduce pollution

The internalization of processing is another of the strategies adopted by Sicav to contribute to the reduction of pollution and the sustainability of production. With this approach we want to reduce double transport and optimize supply and production chains. In fact, reducing the movement of semi-finished or finished products from one place to another contributes to reducing harmful gas emissions and air pollution linked to transport.
